I am a Nutrition and Wellness Counselor that specializes in Diet, Fitness and Whole-Happiness. I've led several workshops, seminars and bootcamps for children and adults for the past 7 years.
I bring a healthy balance of focus and fun thanks to my military background as a Veteran as well as my background working with kids. I am an Elite Member of the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM) where I earned my Certified Personal Trainer license and I'm a Certified Nutrition Counselor (CNC) from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. I graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a Culinary Arts degree and currently finishing my last semester with Purdue Global University for my Bachelors of Science degree in Nutrition Science.
I've been a chef for over 15 years and after developing and owning two original restaurants, managing several restaurant franchises and running a catering company for 10 years, something was still missing. Now, don't get me wrong, I loved food and the excitement I got from cooking as well as eating however I also noticed the affects of poor food choices, lack of exercise and an off-centered well-being and how it was taking a toll on people's overall health and happiness. On one hand, I saw the warm and loving moments food created with its beautiful flavors, mouth satisfying textures and cultural complexities that
hugged the soul yet there was a conviction burning within that first came with the loss of my grandparents' fight with cancer along with so many others who were losing years off their life due to heart disease, kidney failure, hypertension, diabetes, mental illnesses, cancers and so many other health complications. After years of studying and research, the science pointed to diet, exercise and overall well-being
Now I have my heart and sight set on being a source of hope and light for anyone and everyone who wants a better life for them and their family when it comes to their Nutrition and Wellness journey. I truly want to help people get the years back they feel they may have lost due to poor health. I believe whole-happiness can be achieved with a healthy mindset, a healthy amount of movement and a healthy moderation. And guess what, I want to help you discover and define your unique healthy or better yet, your tailored lifestyle of heal-thy.ish ®️. There are no two alike. There is no perfect BMI, weight, measurements or look! No matter how much the perfect body concept is marketed to have us think we are not enough, I'm telling you unapologetically, there is no perfect size! There is only Whole-Happiness that you discover and define.
